Erika and Omar are two 16 years old students, in love, that bonded into an extremely tight complicity and reciprocal dependency.

In the evening of the 21 of February 2001 they kill, with almost fifty stabs, Erika's mother and her little brother. No apparent motive. Children of a normal middle class family, their case was under trial and under the eye of public opinion for months. A tragic blow to the sense of safety of a society that was discussed as possibly responsible by the media.

Freely inspired by this crime, with no attempt to moralize or judge, the author tries to explore the nightmares and the neuroses of today's young people and of their potential victims.

The writer's imagination moves away from the way the crime is reported by the news, trying delicately to enter into the complex origins of such destructive folly, without letting the feeling of horror influence and confuse the analysis, in order to find the life of the characters. They leave us astounded for their irrational humanity and innocence, moving us to reflect, feel mortal and perhaps potential assassins ourselves.

"What strikes me most, is that such terrible crimes are done by people that aren't at all terrible"
Ian Mc Ewan

"It is easy to sustain a commonplace, but difficult to sustain the truth"
Wilhelm Reich

"When you will find your mothers I hope you will like them"
Peter Pan
