"It will be summer" is a tribute to a forgotten star. A monologue that lays bare one of the most emblematic figures of the sixties. Jean Seberg, actress and muse to Preminger, Goddard, Chabrol, an Icon of the Nouvelle Vague, but also a woman enamoured of MARTIN LUTHER KING'S DREAM, supporter of the Black Panthers, investigated by the FBI. Her personal life confused and tormented, will not help her to pursue her political ideals. Alcohol and drugs will push her into delirium and loss of control of her reason till a mysterious death. "It will be summer" makes us remember years so deeply stirring, during the fight for Civil Rights, young hopes and dreams to create a more just world. It also paints a portrait of the contradictions and the faults of a society that incenses and then destroys, if you will allow it. And finally the play puts us also in front of how today, we risk so much less.
